Couldn't agree more but have you sent these comments directly to the Qld Country Life? Rather than starting new organizations, publications, groups etc I feel we need to hold accountable those that are already established and taking the money and the profits and really push them for acceptable and measurable outcomes

I fully agree, the Country Life has become a very very cynical newspaper towards our industry and just to prove the point the weekend Courier Mail rubbed salt into the wound by writing a very positive story on the real issues affecting our industry at present.
It's not about your opinion or whether or not you agree or disagree with whatever was said by the speakers at the forum and by what Graham Acton is trying to achieve. THE BEEF INDUSTRY NEEDS UNITING and like I said before it does not matter whether or not you agree or disagree we all are in the same boat and we are all trying to achieve the same goals.
We, as an industry, do not need our so called 'Bible of the Bush' knocking what Graham is trying to achieve here when we all want the same outcome as he does.
Graham you're truely an inspiration to the younger generation and keep up the good work.

Having attended the forum. I believe if we are going forward this should not be used as an opportunity to divide what we know is already a minority of the population. So please hold back and maybe we can speak as one voice eventually.

Any risk with the very minor amount of beef that people want to export to Australia is just not worth it! We have an industry with a clean image all over the world and as an exporting nation, why jepordise that for the sake of some 'under the table' trading deals done with other nations by our elected politicians.
That is just pure crazy and dumb! Let your local member know how you feel about this and post it where ever people will take notice and do something. Import risk analysis will not stop the chance of this horrid disease entering. Only a total ban will. Once it's here we have lost our reputation, lost our industry and lost a hell of a lot of good beef farmers who are struggling right now.

McDonalds had the most successful promotion in their history of the Angus beef burgers. Find out who their agency was and give them a brief to promote beef on a hard sell basis. There is too much soft sell which does not cut through the clutter.
Why not ask MLA to put some funds aside for a special promotion?

Concerned groups must work together, unfortunately as well meaning as the National Party are, they have become largely redundant due to the coalition which dictates they must tow the Liberal Party line, hence the National Party themselves have become legendary in their betrayals of farmers. We must be on guard against deceptive mouthings from those with hidden agendas and those who are sponsored by the big money men ( sheep in wolves clothing ). Unfortunately the globalist mentality is "we'll just import food". We should be mindfull of the Irish potato famine, as politics was the catalyst behind that also and again largely a myth, yes the potato crop failed, but all other crops did not. Instead of feeding the Irish people, the crops were exported. We should remain vigilant.

Hi Rob,
Yes I did see the Narrogin Feedlot story and all I can say is that what happened there is plain straight criminal behaviour on the part of bureaucracy aided by a very weak Government, I would like to tell you of similar stories happening in the Road Transport Industry, although on a smaller scale, I fail to see how our elected members can sit back and let this happen, the power government has given bureaucracy is out of control.
One wonders where it will all end or if it can now be ended, one thing is for sure we need a very strong leader in government to tackle the bureaucracy head on and turn this around now.
