About U.B.G.

The United Beef Group is not an organisation or registered body.  It is simply a group of individuals from the Beef Industry who are concerned that if cattle prices stay low and processing costs remain high, the future of beef looks grim.

The individuals who are directly involved are:

  • Graeme Acton, Acton Land & Cattle Co, Central Queensland
  • Cameron McIntyre, Mt Booroomen
  • Ashley McKay, Torres Park, Augathella
  • Ian Galloway, Duarran, Roma
  • Charlie Mort, Mort & Co, Dalby
  • Peter McHugh, Causeway Produce Agency
  • John Burnett, Clermont
  • David Camm, Camm Agricultural Group
  • Rob Atkinson, Hughenden
  • Norman Hunt, Hunt Partners Solicitors

Two forums were held in Armidale in February, 2010 attended by over 1,000 people and Rockhampton in July, with around 500 participants. The forums success was measured in the support and general consensus that the issues that were raised are crucial to the success of the industry in the future.
