This Strategic Plan provides concrete solutions to the challenges facing the Australian beef industry and the rural and regional communities that support it.
It is the result of extensive consultation with beef producers and processors and implements the resolutions of the 1,000 participants at the Beef’s New Direction Forum held in Armidale this year.
It was compiled by Norm Hunt of Hunt Partners and is regarded by consulted beef produces as a living document.
It has been re-assessed and fine tuned several times to date and will continue to be reviewed into the future.
It was also endorsed by over 500 producers representing in excess of one and a quarter million beef cattle at the Paradise Lagoons.
The resolutions passed at both forums will dictate the next steps to taken.
